From 4th April, Bethnal Green Gardens will be closed for a few weeks for complete resurfacing,
fencing works and LED lighting. We will assess booking patterns but please expect fair access terms and conditions to be strictly enforced (we don't like rules but Poplar Rec is also closed...)
Even though they were laid at the same time as Victoria Park, early contract issues accelerated deterioration of some parts of the court surface. Tree-works and cleaning have improved with our contract partners TH Council.
We continue to provide a very healthy lease return to the Council each year and we now all benefit from re-investment. We will soon have 17 great courts in our local parks.
In 2011, there were 2 well maintained courts
